Troop 176 meets Wednesdays from 7:30 - 9:00pm at the Merion Scout House (carriage house behind the Merion Tribute House) at 625 Hazelhurst Ave., Merion Station PA 19066.

January Trip - Winter Adventure At Resica

Saturday – Sunday Jan 16–17, 2016

Join Troop 176 for our Winter Adventure. This year, there will be exciting OUTDOOR winter activities in Resica Falls, hopefully in the snow, but if not, we’ll do something else. We plan to leave at 8 AM, Saturday, and will stay overnight indoors in Unami Lodge, but during the day, there’s some serious OUTDOOR activity:

Philadelphia Day Trip: Saturday, December 12

On Saturday, Dec 12, the troop will follow the Bicentennial Historic Trail of Freedom around Old City Philadelphia. Discover how George Washington was named to command the Continental Army!, Learn how our Founding Fathers established the First Continental Congress!, See the famous Liberty Bell and visit Independence Hall, and Visit Graff House and other Historic sites important in our Independence! The trail is about 7 miles long -- we'll visit historic sites and building, while answering a series of questions. Finishers get the Historic Trails Medal. 

Dec. 6th - Sunday Hike in Valley Forge Park

The troop will do a 5-mile hike in Valley Forge Park.

Meet at the Scout House at 1245, dress warmly for the weather, boots recommended. Bring a water bottle. We'll finish around 430.

Historic Gettysburg Trip

Join Troop 176 as we visit Gettysburg and tour the historic battlefield and cemetery, site of President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Scouts leave Saturday, Nov 21 at 6:00 a.m. We will stay at Camp Tuckahoe Saturday night. Cost of the trip is $20 and is due Wednesday, Nov 16.

2016 Dues

This time each year, all scouts are asked to pay their annual membership dues to the troop. For Troop 176 the dues for 2016 are $100.00. Dues are calculated to cover the annual costs for registration and badges for the troop, plus an additional amount for heating and upkeep at the Scout House.
